It’s been a great season here at CSP and we are looking forward to our continued effort of helping more customers — new and old — elevate and get more use out of their outdoor spaces.
Over the years, we have become known for our custom porches. Ever-evolving, we are constantly on the look-out for new products that can offer our customers the best quality possible. One of the best products we have to offer is the Eze-Breeze panel system.
Investing in the Enjoyment of Your Porch
Eze-Breeze windows are lightweight, hurricane-rated, vinyl glazed panels that offer better climate control and protection from the elements — including pollen!
“We knew that our screened in porch would quickly become one of our favorite rooms in the house and being able to extend the usage season by a few months was a no-brainer for us.” – D. Chiari
“I decided to have Eze-Breeze panels installed on my porch to keep the pollen out and the rain as well. The panels were installed last summer (2013) when I had the porch built. I am so glad that I had the porch built and wish that I had done so years ago. I even used the porch a few days during the winter when it wasn’t freezing out. The Eze-Breeze panels also kept the snow from accumulating in the porch. No shoveling!!!” – M. Tisler
“We had screened in porches at both of our last two houses spanning a period of nearly thirty years. Without these windows both snow and rain would end up getting blown into the screened area of the porch. Worse yet was the pollen in the spring and leaf dust during the fall. Hence, we would end up covering or moving the chair cushions into the garage for the winter.” – M. Dodd
“At first, we were going to go with a completely open deck, but knew Super Screen and Eze-Breeze were options. We received a demo of both products from Jim on the sample he had in his truck, and were dumbfounded by the engineering and ease-of-use of the Eze-Breeze windows. However, at the time, we thought, ‘This is supposed to be an outdoor area, why block out the fresh air and “close it in” with windows?’ One day, before the project started, we were looking at the back of the house in the evening. It was crawling with mosquitoes and other bugs! At that point, we decided that getting Super Screen would be a smart idea. Then, after more deliberation, we decided that we would want to be able to use the porch year-round, and given the overall affordability, flexibility, and ease-of-use of Eze-Breeze windows, it made sense to invest in our enjoyment of the porch.” – M&K Ho
Having it All: Inside and Outside
While the panels are wonderful for keeping bad weather and the elements out, they are just as good for letting the weather in! These panels are installed on a telescopic four-track system; just raise all the panels or lower them all to create an open vista and you’ll be able to enjoy the outdoors and feel just like you would with a screen porch. Homeowners love the convenience the panels offer.
D. Chiari loves “How quickly they can be pulled up and down. The entire room takes less than 1 minute in either direction.”
“We have a double French-door style entry with Eze-Breeze windows in the door! And even the stationary ‘window’ panels in our porch are made with the same material as the standard Eze-Breeze windows. No worrying about glass anywhere! Opening and closing is a breeze, and we take advantage of all of the different ways you can have the windows open. Sometimes opening up top is good to just let fresh air in but avoid a strong wind, sometimes opening just the bottom is great to let the dogs sniff outside. Of course, there’s always the ‘remove all the panels’ option as well to get a traditional screen porch feel, and even that is a ‘breeze’!” – M&K Ho
This range of flexibility is what allows these rooms to be enjoyed nearly year-round. During the colder months, keep the panels up to help trap heat inside. For even more comfort, you can choose to install a small heater or air conditioning unit, which will also increase usage daily and seasonally.
“We love to eat meals in the porch. When it is nice out, the windows are of course open, but it’s equally fun to sit in the porch when it’s raining. The way our porch is constructed, we usually even have one side that does not let in the rain, so we are able to hear the drumming sound of rain hitting our closed windows, while still letting in some fresh air and hearing the natural rain sound. Sometimes when it’s really nice out at night, we even sleep in the porch! We also use it for entertaining. Everyone loves seeing and playing with the windows because they are so unique, and we are able to entertain there well into the night even if it gets chilly out, because we can just close the windows and crank a heater (if needed…but that’s more a non-summer thing.” – M&K Ho
“I am enjoying the porch as I have lunch and dinner on the porch most days unless the temperature and humidity make it too uncomfortable to be outside. I have held family brunches and even a picnic for the group I belong to. The porch was able to accomodate 26 people, which is perfect.”- M. Tisler
“Over the last several days when the temperature has been in the eighties, we’ve sat on the porch for dinner with four sets of window panels pulled all the way down with the other six sets of window panels closed to within a foot of the ceiling. I’ve learned that if there is a possibility of rain I can close all the windows to be one foot from the ceiling that will allow air to flow and still keep the rain out.” – M. Dodd
